Guest guest
Good news that your party went relatively well and that your husband was part of it up until the last hour. That must have been gratifying and, of course, the caregiver helped you focus on merry- making for your guests. Sounds like a win-win situation all around. Good for you. I was glad your husband had a good day on your anniversary. How many years have you been married? The fact that he was " into it " for that day was a great gift for you. So you had to de-stress the next day? Not a bad thing in this hectic holiday time surely... I hope you find a great daycare which will benefit both you and your husband. My dad's been going to one for about a month and he was recently switched from a low to a higher-cognitive functioning one and he loves it. Unfortunately, he's declined cognitively so he may end up going back to his original placement. Nevertheless he looks forward to his outings and I know my mom does as well. I know you are doing the right thing in looking for a place for your husband. Glad to hear your husband was up to ring in the New Year with you. This year my husband, kids and I joined my mother, father and sister for New Year's Eve. It was quiet and, like your husband, my dad slept almost right up to the big moment but he was up and with us to raise a glass of grape juice in celebration. He laughingly said he couldn't wait to get rid of 2003 - even he knows what a lousy year it was for us... Abby
