Kath:

Meltdowns like yours are a symptom of this disease in my opinion.

Family members watching this illness take dominion over our LOs can't

help but feel helpless by this entire ordeal.

Hey, vodka wouldn't be the best way of coping - you're right - but I

do understand the need to escape it all in whatever form is available

to you...

Especially if my 14 year old baby had a Valentine. While that may be

a normal progression for everyone else's teen, I can appreciate why

it is a very big deal for you. Somehow, it never sounds as bad until

it's our kid in those situations.

I am sending you a late but very, very big hug and all the

cybersupport I can muster. Don't feel bad about losing it - it's

difficult to work, work, work at this and not feel like you're making

any progress.

Hi Kath,

Yes, it was on TVO. Apparently they are doing a week long special on aging

and this was one of the documentaries (I had no idea!). Also, I watched an

interview with Dr. Kubler Ross whom I believe died (?) and she was impatient

to die after having suffered 3 strokes. I'm sure this will all repeat and

when it does I'll give you a heads up.
