We are all trying in our own way to recover from this

disease. I agree that we do drift off a bit. Help

steer the group in the direction you want it to go. I

think that part of it is also coping with the disease

and that's where we may get off topic. We try to

support each other the best we can. -dz-

Hi Vicky

I'm sure that all of us want to recover. I guess that maybe lately everyone has wanted to forget about all of our problems and have a little fun. I haven't been participating like I want to. I have had a lot of thing to occupy my time these last couple of weeks. Had to get my truck running again, and have been very busy at work.

Last Tuesday I got the results of my last pcr test. The news wasn't good. Still positive after 15 months of treatment. Don't know the viral load as it was only the qualitative test instead of the quantitative. The Dr. is going to order one. Since I have to use the VA I must wait until Aug. for my lab appointment. Personally I don't think that I want to go through a third round of treatment just to be disappointed again. At least until there is another treatment developed that might have better results. Please don't get the Idea that I have given up. I haven't given up, I'm trying some alternative treatments until then.

Well it's almost time for me to go to work so I guess I'll have to go for now.

Re: [ ] Digest Number 335

What has been up with this group lately? The tone no longer seems to be about recovery from our disease. Can someone please reply?

I'm so sorry to hear that, . I have been praying

for you. Hang in there, I guess we have to appreciate

the fact that we have time on our side more so than

people suffering many other ailments. I hope they get

going on some new and better treatments. -dz-

I am praying for you ! Miracles can happen.....I am praying for

one as nothing helps me...... As for you -dz-..... You are just making

it easier for those 36 inchers of Jan to catch you quicker...... I

truthfully find this group boring without the fun and laughter..... (g)

So get out here Jan and get the fun going ;o....... -dz-AND ROBERT ARE

CHUNKIN UP. LOL

Dennis is really busy working to get ready for spring..... I'll bet it

is beautiful there in the spring and summer Dennis... Without laughter I

find that I feel worse..... I am sure a lot agree.... There is no reason

for anyone not to join in..... We are a support group and we don't

always have to be comparing viral loads and liver enzymes.... If we need

to speak of our test or pains we always do... But I also enjoy the

cutting up... It makes me not have to think of my illness.... I am

Thankful for each and every one of you... The hell with my web tv and

losing messages.... I would rather get some then none at all.... Now

lets get the ball rolling here!!!!!!! ;o ;o ;o ;o

Vicky jump in at any time... You can't be part of something if you

don't join in..... As for the newcomers .... Keep it coming..... I

personally enjoy all of you. ;o

I now keep mine in kitchen on top of bread box.....bread box has no bread

in it - just extra meds...I get my rx's 3 mo @ a time.......Only time I

really forget to take is when I'm sick in bed & don't

make it upstairs to kitchen & living areas. If I forget my nadolol

or neomycin for more than 3 days I'm in BIG trouble...as one is to prevent

spontaneous bleeding & other is for the encephalopathy....oh yes -

I must always remember to take the diuretic too(8 pills daily if I forget

these for more than 2 days I swell up like a blimp with ascities &

edema!!

arlene

Hope Everyone is having a nice w/e!!!!!

Hi Arlene

Yep the truck is running pretty good now. I am considering putting a new compressor on for the air conditioner this summer if finances permit.

Don't feel too bad about forgetting your meds. When I finished my treatment I still had 2 full bottles of the pills left. I guess that my memory was a little bad while on the treatment. It is getting better though. I'm starting to feel pretty good since the end of my treatment. It sure took a lot out of me there at the end.

Re: [ ] Digest Number 335

Robet --so sorry to hear of your failed tx.hopeffully they'll come up with something better soon..... I have never been able to partake of any of the treatments.... And you seem to write just fine!! Got that truck running?? arlene Wish I was able to work just to bide my time....but I've got the CRS syndrome so bad most of the time ---I'm lucky to remember to take my meds @ times & I have to take 'em 2x daily!!!

I mark the calendar every time I take my meds. It's

the only way I know if I took them. My dog is on meds

too, so my calendar is full of notes about what we've

taken.

Diane---You got that right-- woman's best friend<g>......I've got a min pin &

a dobie Just love'em..... I seem to give more attention to min pin tho-----

I've had her longer & she is my bed dog--truck dog, etc she just loves to go

bye-bye...She doesn't get to go all the places with me in summer unless we're

having a dismal day!!

Sami (dobie) goes with Ken most of the time-for rides- I tend to keep her

out of my truck as she tends to bark at any little thing-- and really schmegs

up the windows!! She has to touch everything with her nose--cold & wet!!

I'm not shooting for " Buff " . Just trying to keep in

the overweight rather than obese category... :) Having

a son at 36 helps with that, I have to try to keep up

with him. -dz-

Hi Jan

Glad to hear from you. Don't worry, I'm still keeping a positive outlook on things.

It has been a while since we have heard anything from you. Maybe it is because I haven't been on as much myself, with work and everything else going on.

Hi again Jan

Just a little note to let you know that our little Misty is doing great. For everyone else she too is a taco bell dog. I bought her for my wife at Christmas time.

Hi Diane

We also have a second dog a little bigger. Weighs in about 26 lbs. I would

call her a medium size dog. We have had her about 2 years. I love the heck

out of both of them.
