malaria tablets and methotrexate

Hi Guys

I am planning to take a holiday to Bombay but I'm a bit worried about

taking anti-malarials...I've been advised by my phamacist to take

Malerone as apparently it doesnt interact with Methotrexate(?)

Does anyone have any experience of taking this drug or any other to

prevent malaria in conjunction with Methotrexate/and or prednisone?

Would appreciate any advice!

Nisha,

Anti-malarials are often used as a treatment for RA & Stills and sometimes

in conjunction with MTX.

I took Plaquenil for several months actually as a replacement for MTX.

You should of course consult your doc if you are at all concerned.
