Guest guest
Hi everybody - As I wrote I think last week, I'm on the tail end of my first " flare " of Still's. I was diagnosed in October 2005 and by March of '06, we had things under control and I did well until Jan 07 when I caught a cold that turned into pneumonia - which they think triggered the flare. Anyhow, back when I was diagnosed, I had this horrible ringing in my ears, which made it very hard to hear. Everyone sounded like a duck!! Quack, quack! Well, it's BA-ACK! I can't hear a damned thing, everyone sounds like a flippin' duck, and my ears have this high-pitched ring that's like a jet roaring in my ears. Is this hearing problem a normal part of a Still's flare? How about headaches - bad ones that last for days. I got one Wed. afternoon and by Wed evening when the first Tylonol I took wore off, I was ready to confess to all the great crimes of the world! I've still got the headache, but it's mostly under control, thanks to religious doses of Tylenol at exactly 6 hr. intervals for the past 36 hrs. Are these headaches a typical component to a Still's flare?? Thanks in advance for your replies. Hope everyone is on the upswing!
