Guest guest
>Dear , I know it never gets any easier. I have had Still's for I think 3 years. I have had JRA for 20 years. The people here are wonderful and very supportive. We are all here for you. I hope it gets easier on you and you catch a break. I know that the meds are so frustrating! I have also gained weight and can not seem to lose it. I wish you all the happiness in the world, you are so young! I understand how hard it is. Not being able to keep up. I went thru all that at your age and it was awful. All I can say is that I have had remissions. They do happen and I will pray for one for you really soon! Love Sharon And xxxooo > Hello. My name is . Guest guest
- thanks for making me feel welcome. I know my doctor once said that there is a chance one day all the pain will just magicly go away. I just wish it would happen, and happen sooner rather than later. I have had a boyfriend for almost 8 months now. He has been very supportive but I know he gets fustrated with my health also. I mean obviously he wishes that he could help or it was him who had it but what can you do. Sharon & - Thanks for writing back. My only concern is that possibly the doctors found Still's and automatically assumed that was it. I mean I know I have been tested for many other things but I always feel there is something out there they haven't looked at that I have and are treating the wrong disease. If that makes sense. However, my regular doctor who found out that I had Still's was a friend of the family but you never know. I was thinking about going back to my rheumatologist and asking to stop taking all my medications and start over to see how I am feeling again. I can't take the itching anymore and we have NO idea what is causing it. I know taking medications can cause anything though. I am not depressed I know at first my doctors thought I may have been. I do get upset that I do not get to hang out with my friends as much or my boyfriend and I am always complaining about something with my Still's but I don't think any of them really understand. Thank you for the prays and listening to me! -- Nikki --------------------------------- Everyone is raving about the all-new Yahoo! Mail beta. Guest guest
Dear Nikki- Can you take Benedrill? I know it would be more meds, or is the itching just at the injection site. I know I had itching at my injection sites when I stated Kineret. The only thing that helped was ice.I understand your feeling that it may not be Still's. getting a second opinion won't hurt. My family and boyfriend get frustrated too. They can't take the pain away and sometimes it tears them up inside that it is easier to deny there is a problem. It will take time for them to understand. Keep on coming back here and we will listen whenever you need ! Love Sharon And XXXXOOOOO > - thanks for making me feel welcome. Guest guest
Hi , Please feel free to vent here. We have people of all ages who understand your frustration. Regarding the itching, perhaps you have developed allergies to household items (I did). The things I have done is change my laundry detergent to All Free and Clear (made a HUGE difference), do not use dryer sheets (get bumps on my legs if I do), use hypo-allegenic make- up and shampoo. I also take Benadryl on occassion. Glad you joined us, jump in. Houston
