I figured how to do it financially (I think). Guest guest
Hania, if you have researched ..then you kow what the car you want can go for..What I did was figure out what I wanted to pay and then divided it up by what I wanted to pay a month and went inand told them that..I had already figured out what my trade in was worth and what I should pay..Leave if they don't offer you what you already know is fair.. something new to fear I have something in my life now that is causing me a great deal of anxiety and fear. Guest guest
Hania, have you looked into some of the companies that tell you how much to expect to pay? I did that a while back and when I went in, I was sure about how much I'd pay. I also didn't let them talk trade-in in the same breath with the new one...apples and oranges are separate! Do you have any men at your church that own or work at a dealership? they might help you. Wish I could go with you...I love the challenge! Guest guest
Thanks for all the advice. I am going to call the bank tomorrow to see about a loan. I know that I should never use the dealership for a loan. I am have also gone to Edmunds and some other places and printed out data on the kind of car I want. I will take that will me and compare. I also asked a man from my church who just bought a new car to go with me. I will let you all know how things go. Guest guest
Hania, dealerships aren't always bad for a loan...the bottom line is how much the car costs and what the interest is on the loan. Once I had a guy ask how much I wanted to pay a month. I let him know that was none of his business, that I wanted to know what the car cost! Talking to your bank is a good idea, though...it will give you some bargaining power. Ilene Hania wrote: > Thanks for all the advice. I am going to call the bank tomorrow to > see about a loan. Guest guest
If you are like me, you can go into a negotiating situation fully armed, and then fall apart because of all the old messages telling you that you don't have any right to ask for your needs. >>This is exactly what I am afraid of. That I will cave to pressure and end up with something I don't want. Hania
