Your mom is very wise. Seeing it from her point of view, what it does to the

children, there is no way to win with this disease. My dad must have thought

about it, because whenever he could, and before he had any symptoms he said

that if he ever got any dementia he didn't want any heroic measures to keep him

alive. He didn't want any of the indignities for himself either.

We must just fight this beast to keep it from its continued devastation.
