Guest guest
Thank you Bram. My family and friends so far dont really get it... they do know that i am very much getting high fevers at night, but they dont understand that it could be serious, but then again i have only tried to explain it to one person. However, I did discuss the fevers with my aunt, who said that she had 15 of her servers (she's a manager) call in sick one weekend because of this 'virus' that's going around, and her son had it where his fever was horrible at night and he didn't get out of bed for 3 days straight and didn't eat or talk... (uhh yeah, he's a 3 year old, if my 3 year old did that and had a fever of 103, I'd have had him in the ER before the thermometer could get that high! that's SO dangerous for little kids!) So.... I've been feeling a little bit better.... I've found that if I double up on the ibuprofen (my poor stomach must hate me) and stay on top of the doses, I feel better. I was able to leave my house today and be out for a few hours and do a little shopping... I started feeling a lil ill the last hour or so, which was fine cuz my friend had to go to school anyhow so i just got dropped off at home... and, when I got here my temp was 100.0, and half hour since, it's now at 101.3. And I'm starting to feel it. Bleh. I ate pretty well today actually as well, we had mcdonalds... and while i wasn't able to eat anywhere near a full meal like i normally could... it still felt good to eat... then we went and did more errands, took her 6 year old to urgent care cuz SHE was running a 103 temp and a heart rate of 160 (!) and her rapid strep test came back positive, poor baby. Then we went to target to fill the script for her amox. and my friend was hungry again so she got food at the little food thing (der... brain fart), and she goes 'arent you gonna get anything?' so i got one of those mini pizzas and couldn't eat the whole thing (which again, normally, no problem!) and then I got home and my brother bugged me about helping with the house so I went into the bathroom to clean it, had to brush my teeth and ended up throwing up the pizza in the sink while brushing my teeth.... idk if that's part of this illness or not but blech. I learned my lesson! Not to force myself to eat if I dont want to! So, the temp is rising again. The eyes are going a little bit dimmer again. I'm having a hard time staying awake, again. Oh, question: Has anyone else had a problem with their hands going numb?? Or is that just me? I've noticed THAT for months now, but ever since this illness it has gotten much much worse! So, I think my plan of attack is this. I will call my doctors office tomorrow and ask to speak to a nurse and ask if they've had a lot of people complaining of a night time only fever like clockwork and headaches and body aches and pain... i'll explain all or most of my symptoms and see if she says they've had a lot of it lately and if so then i will not go in, and will just ask her how it resolved for other people.... if she says no, then i'll probably go in and say screw insurance. I also could call my worker and ask if there is any sort of 'emergency voucher' or something for if i am between health care plans or waiting for my new one and need to be seen ASAP if I can get it covered somehow. I dont know. Thank you all for listening.... even if you dont feel up to replying, it still feels good for me to get it all off my chest, so to speak. Guest guest
My hands go numb a lot. It can be humorous at times. X-rays don't show anything though. Houston, TX
