2nd Dr. opinion-Home from Conf.

Hi All,

I go tomorrow for a 2nd opinion that my employer is requesting with " their "

doctor for LTD determination. He is not an RA (internist) & hasn't seen a Stills

patient so that should be interesting. I did talk to a lawyer & he said to go &

see what this Dr. determines. He said the Dr. better side with my RA since he

has no Stills experience (we'll see) My sister is an RN & she is going with me

but they weren't sure if she will be able to go in to the exam with me? I'm

scared & having a hard time getting to sleep tonight because of it. I just don't

understand why employers do this they just add more stress which doesn't help at

all in the recovery process. It's almost as if they try to push people into

quitting which I can't do I need the benefits.

The conference was good (my first time) it was so nice to meet some of the

people here & to put faces with names. I wish more of you could have come it was

small this year. Bob (old goat) said usually more do come so hopefully next

year. My sig. other I saw a show & went out walking around looking at all the

casinos & stuff, of course did a little gambling but for the most part we

relaxed which is what I needed. I'm exhausted (in a good way) very glad I went &

decided before that I would not over do it as I usually tend to. I stuck to it

too! I just don't sleep well in hotels but took full advantage of napping &

laying by the pool . I'm sure this week will be spent recuperating.
