Guest guest
I have the blood taken out every few months when it builds up. My dad goes more often than I do, but my constant menstruating keeps my iron in check for now. a_cone wrote: Gail, I've not been through anything like what you are facing, but I wanted to say ouch, wow, and eek. I sure would want to find the cause and try my damndest to remedy it. Not only is just the inconvenience of bleeding horrific, but the pain, hormone fluctuations and the irritation of having to catch the bleeding just can't be good for you. Are you also having blood taken out each month? My dad has to donate as much as possible so the iron doesn't load up. He can either donate blood to an organization, or he has to go in so the doc can do it (but they just throw that blood away). Just wondering if you are doing that and the bleeding. Let us know how the appt goes and what the outcome and decision are. I would definitely recommend a 2nd opinion before a hysterectomy. It can't hurt to see what another qualified, trusted doc thinks before you go the surgery option. We'll be thinking about you.
