500 Watts

Hi everyone,

One of the stories about Dr. Rife is that he was using a 500 watt

transmitter. This has pretty well been dismissed by those

investigating Rife's work. Many believe the actual amount of wattage

going into Rife's tubes was much lower than that. Some recent testing

by me leads me to believe that this assumption of lower power to some

extent was correct.

I've been testing some R/B equipment at 500 watts and have a few

things to report. Power supply was pulling about 42 amps - this

included the OM-1 transmitter, and all the fans. Amplifier modulated

power swing was 300 watts.

1. In less than 10 minutes was able to burn a hole in pyrex straight

tube causing the gas to evacuate.

2. 1939 phanotron - electrodes started to glow orange red from the

heat in less than 40 seconds of operation. There is no question the

heat would have melted the glass around the electrodes and caused the

tube to fail with just a few minutes of operation.

3. Quartz straight tubes seem to be able to hold up to the 500 watt

power level OK.Only ran them for about 30 minutes, but they came through OK.

4. Super tube was able to hold up to the 500 watt power level.

My impression from this is that there is no way Rife was able to get

his small phanotron tubes to survive for multiple exposure sessions

at 500 watts. Much less - 3 minutes.

Now as to the wave coming off the tube - well it is just flat

overkill. The tube is so bright it is annoying, and the wave is so

intense it drives you away from the system. The tube wrapping is

critical to keep from overheating a straight tube. I made up a spiral

wrap from some buss wire and the wire completely discolored and lost

it's annealing.

Is there a place for 500 watt R/B systems? I presently don't think it

necessary.
