Going by the list in the post, the Chat feature should probably be blocked, based on my experience with Yahoo chatrooms. Even though our membership is limited, prowlers will be out looking for a way to get in and then spam everyone on this list. The other things look OK, though we'll see how they go in practice.

Just thought I would share this with all of you. If you are able to click on the links and see what Yahoo is going to give us, give me some feedback please so I can set up the groups in a way that is comfortable to everyone.

Noted. I think the only way we'd have chat would be if I turned it on whenever I

happen to be in there so I could supervise the room. Then I would turn it off

when I signed off. This might annoy the members here, but that is the only way I

think we could safely use it.

That could work. Just have to see if the room could be kept off the publicly viewable lists. Its a pity things like that have to even be considered, but spammers are an issue as are the viruses common in their wares.

Hi;I would probably use the features as I do now, reading and replying to posts, reading the Midnight In Chicago links, sporadically chatting, viewing photos when some one mentions he/she has posted some, and referring to links and files when I want to do some further reading. As I understand it, you might all get an avatar, and it is possible you might

get personal mail boxes. There are a few other features that will be added as

well.
