My older son is set up for immune therapy (allergy shots) with our allergy

specialist. I have told them my concerns about giving him shots of anything

that has additional ingredients other than the actual allergy serum. they have

assured me that there are no preservatives, etc... but as you all can imagine I

am still concerned. don't want to go down that road again as we saw definite

regression after his vaccines as a baby. any other parents/healthcare people

out there that can reassure me that there isn't a bunch of junk in these allergy

shots?? thanks, lisa (yes, we are doing " natural " immune boosters but his

allergies are so awful, we are ready to try this too)

When I took allergy shots (about 15 years ago) you had to keep the serum

refrigerated to keep it from spoiling. I never knew for sure, but was

under the impression the doctor mixed it because they never gave a

prescription for the serum. I always had to pick it up at their office.

It was the same procedure at all three allergists that I went to over

the years.
