Por si te sirve, el Stedman bilingüe pone lo siguiente:

Virus shedding (virus, eliminación de): Eliminación de virus por cualquier

vía del huesped infectado.

Creo que la cosa puede ir por ahí (eliminación del virus por el aparato

genital, o a través del aparato genital). Sólo estoy proponiéndote una

traducción, a ver si alguien puede confirmarla.
