The North seems a little more determined than usual to cause problems and maybe a war. They must completely insane, which is a distinct probability. Still, I don't think sending the carrier group will accomplish much of anything but increase tensions, mainly with China. At one time we could play that game, when we were strong, but we're not now. The world knows our economic problems even if our elite don't and they also know how weak our military is. Small wonder upstarts like Chavez are being so bold and China thumbing its nose at us.
