Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: Part I

Recently, I have been looking into the details of the United Nations Convention

on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. To date, many countries afford their

disabled citizens rights under their own laws, but the United Nations Convention

on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities seeks to create universal, legally

binding standards which may serve as an umbrella over all disabled citizens of

all signatory nations.
