I'm sure it will save some lives but you can bet that since talk of this thing has been around for several years that countermeasures are already in the worked. Since we have GPS and Laser guidance for mortar and artillery shells, perhaps they could be programmed to take evasive action on the way down? Perhaps a mass attack of many shells at once to overwhelm the system? All manner of possibilities. What would be interesting is firing several solid slugs the laser couldn't explode to see if it stayed locked on to them longer. In a message dated 7/19/2010 2:32:19 P.M.
