Guest guest Posted April 16, 2007 Report Share Posted April 16, 2007 OK, so I took everyone's advice on where to go for help for my severely autistic out of control and self injurous daughter. I'm at my wits end, I don't know what to do. I called everyone from MHMR to the austin state school and hospital...and nobody is willing to or will offer me any advice as to where I can send her. Everybody is saying that there is no residential services for an 8 yr old who is not in foster or state care. Is that what I have to do first? Call CPS on myself and tell them that I'm about to lose it? Has any other parent been in this situation? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
