Good morning la

I give it a shot (but must admitt that I just got up and my brain needs

coffee). Hope it still helps somewhat. I think its great to see that there

is other translators sometimes having severall questions too (like me

sometimes). I am still on the last pages of the cardiology speeches (I had

to wait so long to get the last documents) and tomorrow I will leave for

Europe for 2 weeks. UNtill then I will be happy to try to help you out as

much as I can. Unfortunately labs weren't my favorite (allthough I did my

doctorate in that for 4 years) and I am nativ German, so I understand most

of it but don't always know the english translation.

But surely Ursula will know.

Andauung means " starting digestion " (I dont think there is an english word

with the exact same meaning so you should be fine using digestion=verdauung)

be the redissolution?

Next step is adding a master mix kit and two primers before PCR. That'd

probably be the redissolution?

--> the master mix most likely contain the salts needed to redissolve the

DNA. (I never worked with PCR but salts defintely needed)

I don't know if this was a question but:

From my experience the DNA can be dissolved in water too (which in my case

was much more suitable for the following PCR). I know most commercial kits

for DNA-extraction recommend some buffer (like f.e. TE) but in our lab

practise we all used water (if we did just a simple PCR with the DNA

afterwords and no sequencing, cloning or whatever else). If you ever get

bored you can type my name into google and you will get my dissertation

(development of a PCR method for parasites out of soil samples) (except

summary in German though). But only if you are really bored because it wont

help you right now, it's just those four years of frustration that gave me

some PCR knowledge.

So after re/dissolving you just add the mastermix and primers and throw it

into the machine..

To the champagne: I would love to, but I think I won't make it to Italy,
