Guest guest
Hi viki, and Barb, How are you all doing with the Zoloft trail? Viki, how was your visit with Dr. Goldberg? As time goes on, is not doing better with Zoloft, Celexa was much better. I am now asking to switch back to Celexa. Jin
Guest guest
well, dr g started us off with 50 mg of zolof. my son is 6 1/2 and weighs 70 lbs. what i noticed was he was mentally more connected, however, sensory wise, off the charts!!!! and i thought it was bad to begin with! on the update to dr g, i expl this and requested to return to paxil and he said wait until office visit. that was 1-13-04. dr g expl that the reaction was due to incorrect dosing most likely and so, upped the zolof to 1 1/4 tab daily. it has only been two days, so, i havent really seen much change. i have to give it more time. my son also got another imgg shot (every three wks) and more blood work to see where the levels are. hhv6 going down, but realy sssllllloooowwww. vicki in los angeles
Guest guest
Jin What types of things are you seeing, or not seeing, with Zoloft? Dr G is considering upping Jack's Celexa dose or switching him to Zoloft. Jack is not quite as with it or social as he was when we first started SSRIs or last increased the dose. Thanks > Hi viki, and Barb, > > How are you all doing with the Zoloft trail? Guest guest
, We are different. doing well after a long time stay on same dose of Celexa. I am in process of asking Dr. G to go back to Celexa. Part of my report is as following: He is not brighter on Zoloft compare to on Celexa, He seek more sensory input, and running in circles, twirling even in his past two weeks swimming class. He is very defiant, and does not pay good attention in class, and distracted very easy. He is also more sensitive as he always complaint not fair. He is very slow on transition. He has very hard time do his home work. Last night he spent 1 ½ house to finish his math journal which only needs four sentences. Recently, he also going to washroom many times in school, and last night, he went to washroom almost every 10 minutes. His performance is not consistent, and one day he may be better, the next day he is very hard to manage. He is basically has no control of himself, and making many wrong decisions, which cause problem in school too. He was in trouble in school for some undesired behavior last week. He still continue having trouble sleeping. I should never agree to change med while Celexa is doing well. It is so hard to change back. At mean time, he is very hard to manage. and getting less work done at school and at home. It may be different with yours though. If Celexa not going well with your son, why not give zoloft a try. Otherwise, just say no. I feel like I am getting a heart attack every time I have to have him do something. He just not want to move. He did a little better this week which the dose reduce to 50mg. He was doing well on first half week, it must have be the Celexa. For a while, He really having trouble makin sentences, he is better this week. Hope this helps.
