They are probably doomed because the Palestinians and many other Arab nations want Israel destroyed. Not scaled back but wiped out completely. The other side lies very well to the Western Media about wanting peace and they have lapped it up for decades. Yassar Arafat was their darling, even though in truth when peace was almost at hand, he stepped in and ramped up the terrorism and put an end to that. For some time after that, he was in the middle of the terrorism against Israel. The Western media paraded his words of peace around the world and hammered Israel, but they ignored it when he said on Arab new stations that he wanted Israel destroyed. He would quote some kind of philosophy where a Muslim could lie to a nonbeliever at will so long as they kept the truth in their heart. Many others were just the same.

Add to that that many leaders of Muslim nations have been looting their countries, well forever, but are continuing the tradition. To keep the people from catching on and coming after them, they instead blame the hardships in their countries on Israel and America. By keeping their people angry at foreigners, they won't direct it at the leaders at home where it belongs.
