Guest guest
Dear colleagues, In the " Physical Exam " section of a discharge summary (the original is in Bulgarian), I have a couple of abbreviations which, I believe, must come from either Latin or English. Could someone help me figure what their meaning is: In the section : PVCU (qualified as " hypertrophic, smooth " ) OECC (qualified as " transversal " ) The patient is a menopausal woman with endometrial carcinoma. I would appreciate explanations in either English or French (or Bulgarian, or Russian, in the Latin alphabet ;-). Thanks in advance and best regards, a Radoslavova, C.Tr. Guest guest
Thanks for trying to help, Gilberto. I did not have any context, just the few words accompanying the abbreviations. However, I figured them out eventually, and here they are FYI: PVCU = portio vaginalis cervicis uteri (vaginal portion of cervix) OECC = ostium externum of the cervical canal (cervical os) - and obviously, the qualifier is " slit " Best regards, a At 09:00 AM 3/11/2003 +0100, you wrote: >--------- From: a Radoslavova [11/03/03] --------- > >>In the section : >>PVCU (qualified as " hypertrophic, smooth " ) >>OECC (qualified as " transversal " ) > > >Hi a! > >Could you provide the phrase(s) in which these acronyms appear?
