I don't know about the German, but I think the English is probably a layperson's term for bronchioli (perhaps both the terminal bronchioles and the respiratory bronchioles.) I suppose, this is no highly specialized text and mainly for non-professionals, such as people suffering from asthma. I would therefore not use the term " Bronchioli " .
