Temera,

sometimes life throws us a few curveballs. And you know what, its okay to

take a week or two off from exercise if you really have to. It sounds like

stress has made you sick, so you probably needed it. Once you feel better

start back small.

Just tell yourself you are going to do 10-minutes that day and 15 minutes the

next and anything you do over that amount is just because you were having fun

;-) Maybe you could treat yourself to a new tape or two? That might help you

get a bit more excited and make time for Taebo.

Don't worry about the weight, worry about being healthy, eating right taking

relaxation time for yourself as well as a some time to exercise. When I start

to stress about how much I way I notice I tend to gravitate towards the

kitchen and I start to feel lethargic. Stress is stress and it is not nice to

our bodies

I hope you feel better soon!

Hugs,

<< Ok, well, the last 2 weeks have been horrible. I have maintained the

weight and inches I have lost so far, but have had a very hard time working

out. I have not done TB in about 2 weeks, wow I guess it has been that long.

School has become very busy, and when that happens I lose sight of

everything

else, and my workout schedule is the first to go. It is like I am too tired

to do all of it, the kids, school, workout, eat right. But at the same time

I

am depressed because I continue to be very overweight, which is killing me!!

I also tend to lose my motivtion at the 2 month mark, I have done it

everytime. And that is where I am and it is happening again. It always seems

that stuff comes up to prevent me from working out right at that mark, what

is it?? Now I am extremely sick and have not been able to get out of bed for

2 days, my nanny quit giving me 4 days noticed so I have been dealing with

that, actually just begged her to stay and offered more money. She is

priceless!! Anyway, enough of my complaining, I just need help staying

motivated, and need advice of how to get out of this damper I am in. If I

let

it go on, I will quit entirely and I know that, so I am trying to prevent

that from happening. I have so far to go and it is happening so slowly,

which

is a problem for me!! Ok, like someone else said, I need to hit the send

button. >>

Thanks sabrina, you are so right. I am feeling sick, but I am thinking that

instead of worrying about the cardio stuff, that I can do my stretching and

light weights, which would be toward the challenge as well, and then I will

not be so far behind in that.

I tend to have really bad fat days and last week was bad. I go to school with

3 girls who I have become very close to, and they are beautiful and fit. But,

more awful, they remind me of what I looked like before I had my kids, the

dress, their hair, everything. And so when I see them, I love to be around

them, but I am constantly reminded about how far gone I have let myself go!!

So then I get depressed and feel like I will be fat forever.

I just sat this morning, after I posted, and reread my heart and soul,

fitness, and walk magazines. Wow, did that help!~! I need to jump back on and

keep on going, which is what I have not done before. I said this was the last

time, and I meant it!! ok, I am going on and on again!!

I'm glad you are feeling a little better about things. I certainly don't

know what to say here, I am struggling a great deal myself. I just

continue to remind myself that every little bit helps and it doesn't take

much time to just do something. It's really hard seeing people who are in

tip top physical condition but we have to remember that sometimes what we see

isn't what we get. Those girls probably couldn't last 5 minutes with taebo.

Just hang in there and let things happen slowly, afterall, what's the big

rush? I have to keep telling myself that! You did a good thing, coming

here and talking about how you are feeling. I truly believe that half of my

problem is that I don't really talk about stuff. You have been doing great

and I'm confident that you will continue to do great. A week or two or three

doesn't make or break your success... it's a MIND thing. Good luck, Temera!

Temera!

{{{HUGS}}} I certainly can sympathize. I too haven't been doing TB like I want

to simply because I forgot that my kids are getting bigger and I decided to give

one of them a piggy back ride. So I just about recovered from a hurt back and

then I did something to my wrist and now it hurts. Add to that a couple of late

night and some stress and it just haven't been happening. We've just got to

hang in there and try to do what we can when we can. I think it will eventually

come again. In the meantime, I think I'm going to start another 21-day

challenge. Anyone want join with me?

Joan :-)

It has been a while since I posted, and I have been very behind

reading the posts on this list. Some I have read others I have not, but

Darcey, I am so happy that you are ok, and AmyM. congrats on signing up for

to let you know you are not alone, except my mom is relatively supportive, it

is the hubby that is not!!

Temera,

First of all.....congratulations for maintaining your weight loss and

inches lost :) That's something to be proud of! Sometimes life gets

hectic and things come up that prevent us from working out as much as

we'd like, too! But, the important thing is that you jump right back

in there and start again :) Try not to look at the big picture so

much because that can discourage us sometimes and we tend to listen

to that big bad voice in our head that tells us we will never

succeed! You know..the voice that says " you always quit at the 2

month mark " or " you'll never lose all this weight " or " why bother

even trying..you're never going to be able to stick to

this " ......DON'T LISTEN TO THAT VOICE!!!!!!!! I know it's hard, but

you've got to push those thoughts out of your mind and replace them

with positive thoughts :) You CAN do this, and you WILL do this :)

You just have to take it one day at a time and realize that sometimes

there will be days, or weeks that go by when you just can't fit a

workout in. That's ok! It happens! The important thing is that you

get yourself back on track! You are extremely busy. You're going to

have to try to find a small block of time when you can fit your

workout in.......start off small. Try doing 5 or 10 minutes a day.

Make an appointment with yourself. Write it down. It's important to

you and it will make you feel better about yourself, which in turn

will make you a better wife, mother, student, etc! Try to remember

that feeling you had a few weeks ago after you finished working out!

How strong you felt..how good it made you feel to be doing something

for you! Forget about the weight! It will come off, but for

now...you've just got to focus on how great you feel after you've

done a workout! Take baby steps....do whatever small thing you can

to push you in the right direction :) And always remember that we

are here for you! Don't apologize for coming here for support and

motivation...that's what we are here for! We will help pull you out

of this rut...so that in a week or two, you can replace that 'you

never make it past two months' thought with an 'I've been doing this

for

3 months and I'm not giving up' thought! Hang in there, Temera! You

can do it :)

Temera,

Please try to remember that you are a WONDERFUL person and I want you to

tell yourself out loud at least 3 times a day 3 good things you have done or

a good thing about yourself. You sound like an absolutely great person with

a giant heart and a wonderful mother. So maybe you gained a little weight

and you aren't at your 'goal weight', but please don't let that get you too

down. It does not change who you are inside, your spirit still shines

through.

I think that's a great idea about the stretching and weights. Once you get

going, I bet you have no problems keeping up.

And remember all of us have something about us we'd " like to change " ...even

Crawford <G>. I saw a great interview with her awhile back and she was

saying you'd be surprised at how 'real' many of the models look when they

are in their everyday makeup/clothes, etc.

Joan, I'm sorry about all your injuries. I know how frustrating that can be.

You have a healthy attitude, thoug. Just do what you can once you feel a

little better. Start slow. Make sure you stretch a lot. You will be back to

normal before you know it.

Hopefully, by the time you get my message you will be feeling somewhat

better. I'm sorry you have had such a rough time of things. Everyone has

given you excellent suggestions, especially to focus on small doable steps.

I just wanted you to know that I am thinking about you and am rooting for

you. You can do this. Focus on tomorrow and don't worry about the next day.

Plan on doing something good for your health, e.g., 10 min. of taebo,

stretching, or weight lifting.

unfortuantely today, I am feeling worse. I am very light headed, cold

sweats, and I cannot stop coughing. Of course, it would help if my hubby

could stay home long enough for me to rest, instead of having to take care of

the little ones while he is off playing. But, that is life. Sorry, I am a

little resentful today.

Anyway, i have actually lost about 2 pounds being sick, so hopefully

this coming week, I will have the energy to begin lifting weights, I have

been stretching which feels great. But, I am not able to sit up for a long

period of time. I even tried to study and couldn't so , I am taking it slow,

and taking in all the advise, and trying to get better, so that I can

continue on my workout schedule sometime next week.

Thanks to everyone who has responded you have helped more than you could

We just confirmed with our nanny and she has agreed to stay. So i am

thrilled. We gave her a big pay increase, and added a few demands on our

part, but all is well. She is so great and i hated to lose her, so now my

summer plans can go on as scheduled, as well as next year at school. Yeah!!!

Temera,

I'm sorry you're having such a tough time. Sometimes when life

becomes overwhelming, we need to just stop and deal with the things

that are most critical. Having too much on our plate at once can

make doing anything seem impossible. Making a list of each thing

that needs to be handled can free up some space in your mind. If

it's written down on paper, you won't forget to handle something. If

we have too much floating around " upstairs, " it's easy to lose

perspective and motivation. As things start to calm down, gradually

add some items back to your schedule. Let's face it, it's not the

end of the world if you miss a week or two of workouts. Sometimes

life deals us cards that need to be played right now, and some that

can be played later.

Temera,

You've already gotten some great support and advice, and I won't add to what

has already been said. I just want to reiterate the fact that sometimes, it can

be impossible to squeeze workouts into a time frame at certain points in our

lives. Life can get really hectic for all sorts of reasons. As long as you get

back into the groove once things settle down, you'll be ok :-)

Just be sure that you are not trying to find excuses... which sometimes

happens to the most motivated people...

Take care of yourself.

Janick,

I'm glad my message helped you out :) I do the same thing with eating

when I am stressed! What has helped me is to just let it go....and

try not to obsess about it! I used to let one or two days of bad

eating turn into weeks of bad eating, but now I just try to let it go

and get right back on track! One or two " off " days aren't going to do

any damage in the long run....it's when we fall into that " all or

nothing " thinking that we get ourselves into trouble! Hang in there!

Hopefully, this week will be much better for you :)

In the past, when I used to do this, I felt like a total loser not to be able

to have more discpline. I'm much more flexible now (having a child does wonders

for developping that trait) and I figure that I can't always be super

disciplined. I got right back on track today... Well being nautious helps you
