le,

Oh, I am so sorry! You are right...this is a parent's worst

nightmare. I will definitely keep this family in my thoughts and

prayers, as well as you. It is difficult to watch a friend go through

so much pain. All you can do is be there for her....she's gonna need

all the strength and positive support she can get!

le,

You, your friend, and her five year old have my

thoughts and prayers. Stay strong. Hopefully a

treatment will be developed in the near future to help

with this condition.

le,

I'm so sorry about the little girl. It's so unfair when these things

happen to innocent little children. My prayers are with the family.

I hear you on Earnhardt's death. He was our favorite, favorite

driver for the past decade. I've been an emotional wreck for the

past week. I can't watch the TV anymore without crying. This one is

going to take a while to get over.

I'm so sorry to hear this news. You, your friend, and friends family

are in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us posted on her

condition.

Oh le - I can very much relate to this. Our very good friends lost their

son a year ago last August. He was born a miracle baby because his umbilical

cord was tied in two knots. But he was born healthy, or so they thought. At

thirteen months old they discovered his heart was pumping in REVERSE! The

valves were backwards and it was inoperable too. I won't go into depressing

detail, but needless to say, he spent Christmas in heaven in 1999.

The entire ordeal was very trying on all involved, even us because our son was

only a little younger than him and we planned their childhoods together.

My best advice is to be available and supportive to your friend. I will say a

prayer for your friend and her family. God will give them the strenght they

need.

le,

You and your friends family and children are in my prayers.

I too know how it is to have a child with a heart condition. In May of " 99

my son Tyler (2 weeks) old was diagnosed with Supra Ventricular Tachycardia.

(SVT) The Dr.'s heard a horribly fast heart rate (over 300 beats p/min)

and they weren't sure what was going on. My son was turning Blue, so they

put him in an ambulance and I followed in the car, and during transportmy son

went " code blue " he stopped breathing and his heart stopped, they revived him

and then between the ER and Cardiac ICU he coded 3 more times.

My son was only 2 week old and of all days (mothers day) after they got him

to CICU he had to be sedated because he was intabated and had so many IV's

and monitors comming out of him, his eyes taped shut. It was the best thing

for him, even though he was sedated he would still cry out and it broke my

heart to see my baby cry with no sound and no tears I went to the hospital

chapel. (I was not a practicing catholic but I figured what can I lose) I

prayed to jesus crist, " Please don't let my baby suffer, if your plans are to

take him then take him with out making him suffer " My husband said I was

being selfish but I believe that it was that moment and prayer that saved my

son's life. He is now going to be 2 in April and is off all of his

Medications and they too told me he probably will not make it, Prayer is such

a strong thing but it has to come from your heart, (no pun intended) of this

condidtion is inoperable your friend might want to explore the options of

" Transplant " have her contact unos for her options and maybe even a second

opinion.

Who is now extremely active in a local " Parents with Cardiac Kids " support

group.

if you need anything or help where to get answers feel free to email me and I

will help with what I can.
