Guest guest
I am looking for parent referrals for Dev. Pediatricians in the Dallas area. After having our two year old son eval by ECI, they recommended we take him to a Ped. Neurologist. The doctor did not seem too concerned, but seemed to want to pacify me with a diagnosis of Mild Spectum Austic tendencies. Just a little background info... did not walk until 17 mos and no discernable words by 18 mos. He will be 3 next week and has very few spontaneous words. He jargons quite a bit and understands two and three step instructions. He was just accepted into the PPCD program in McKinney. Is our child being labeled unnecessarily? I would like to get opinions from a dr who is held in high esteem by the parents in the Autism community. Thank you so much, I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of information by this group of loving parents! McIntosh
