Guest guest
I'm not sure Aspertame has any effects on me, but then I try to avoid it anyway. I'm leery of all those things anyway. I remember some controversy when Splenda came out. The government and others said it was perfectly safe and it went on the market and in lots of products. There was a drink called Fruit 2 O. Its still around because I've seen in on the shelves. I actually asked the grocer to carry it and they did. I bought a bottle near my grandmother's place and drank it on the way home. It was really good actually. However. That night, I spent almost the whole night on the toilet. Let's just say bad gastric upset. I can always tell if I've accidentally eaten something with Splenda because it has the same effect. My mother is that way too as are several other people I know. I also what it is doing long-term-wise to the people that don't openly show effects. I really think that in the US we oversweeten things. I've tried products that were just so sweet they almost make me sick just tasting them. There is a lot to be said for blander food that you can add a little salt or spice to your taste. However, Monsanto has indeed come under scruitiny for the genetic mondifications of their products not just in conspiracy theory circles, but in more reliable venues.
