Amy >> How about getting the live 4-pack? The basic tape is much more advanced than the studio basic and is a lot of fun. That should challenge you. The advanced is sort of an intermediate advanced (less cardio than some advanced tape), so it's a good transition tape. Also the advanced will give you floor work that you can add to any basic workout. The 4-pack also gives you an 8-minute (really 12-minute) tape that you can add to a basic tape to stretch it out, and a wonderful intstructional tape. A lot of places (I don't know any off hand) sell the 4-pack at a discount, so you get more for more your money. Elena
Guest guest
DAAAAAAAANG!! Sure wish I'd known that before (I ordered the LIVE 4 pack and abs and glutes separately from TaeBo.com!). Sighhhhhhh........ Pooooooooooh!! Carol << Sam's Club is about the best place to get the live 4-pack, because it also includes Abs and Glutes for $45.96. Darcy who needs to do Abs and Glutes cuz it's been awhile >>

Amy, Elena's suggestion about the Live 4-pack was excellent! Also, like Darcy suggested...if you have a Sam's Club near you...you get the Live 4 pack plus the Abs and Glutes Tape for $46! That's pretty good! If you don't have a Sam's Club...I would be willing to get it for you if you want and you could send me a check! Let me know if you want to do that If you don't want to get the Live 4 pack, I think I'd suggest getting one or two of the Live Basic tapes first. They are A LOT different than the studio basic workout! If you decide to start with an advanced, I think I'd suggest AL4! It's a really fun workout and it's not TOO tough (although they're all tough on any given day...LOL)! If you decide to try the Advanced tapes, just remember that you can slow it down if it feels too fast and you can cut the tape in half to start off! Guest guest
Amy, I think the advice about getting the live 4 pak is great advice. The Basic from that workout is harder than the other basics I've done (BL1-3) and at an advanced pace. The advanced tape is the opposite. Not as hard as the advanced tapes I've done (AL1-4), but like an intermediate tape with floor work. AL1-2 are really hard for me. I like AL4 as it is more of an intermediate pace, lots of strentgh type stuff. Guest guest
Hi Amy - The difference that I find between advanced and basic are all of the above that you mentioned The workouts are much more faster, but I'm not sure if there are more reps (it sure feels like it at times). They are much more higher-intensity than the basic workouts. The basic workouts emphasize a lot on form and going a bit slower (which varies in EVERY workout). In the live 4-pack however, I beleive the basic to be more like a mini-advanced almost. It is the hardest basic that I have came across. The opposite for the advanced, which I believe it to be one of the easiest advanced workouts.. I hope this helps, and this is just my opinion Darcy > > , > thanks for the advice. How would you describe the difference between AL and BL? I know the AL is longer is it also harder - more reps? More steps in one (you know like 3 kicks, 4 punches and so on) or is it faster or all of the above?? > Amy M. <-confused as ever > > _____________________________________________________________ > Get everyone in your Above Average Family a FREE E-mail box at Love@Home --> http://www.loveathome.com

Amy, The advanced tapes are definitely harder than the basic ones! I think it's a combination of all the things you stated that make them harder....the music is faster, therefore the moves are done faster and the longer length also makes it more difficult! I guess he does more repetitions in the advanced tapes, but it might just seem that way...LOL! There is definitely a difference in terms of intensity between the two!
