Guest guest
Magoo Style Advocacy http://midnightinchicago.wordpress.com/2010/08/02/magoo-style-advocacy/ Many of us remember Mr. Magoo – the wealthy, height challenged retiree who got himself into all sorts of tricky situations because he refused to admit he was nearsighted. Neurodiversity supporters would have us believe that if the words " disabled " and " disability " were severed from the vocabulary that is part of the Autism discussion, that the worst one could expect for individuals with Autism would be a sort of Magoo Effect. Unfortunately, that's a short sighted view of reality and this blog entry explains why that is!
