Guest guest
Thank you JK, this one did have me confused. I think there needs to be a study guide for the book! Or at least some FAQ's (I'd be embarassed if you said there were some). I just finished telling my DH about primitives with lovely teeth who ate garins and he came back with 'but you said last week that grains were bad and it's sticks to your insides'. Then I got stuck not having the right answer on hand. <sigh> there's too much for my little brain allat once. Clarification on Grains A quick clarification on grains: I see that many are wondering why Weston A. Price recommended grains, but research says not to consume. There are a few things to consider: 1. Don't consume them refined 2. WAP's assumption is that you are soaking and sprouting your grains, and eating TRADITIONALLY made breads, like a fermented sourdough. He doesn't mention this in his book b/c the culture he was speaking to (his readers) would have known what he was talking about (soaking and sprouting). 3 Most conventional research is done on toxic-laced grains. That skews the research findings. 4. Lastly, your ability for your body to process the grains is fully dependent on the rest of your nutritional supplimentation. If you have all the elements of digestion and assimilation, you will be able to consume the foods. Hope this helps, JK
