Guest guest
Maybe they do, but the US can't afford any more war and the rest of the world is in no shape at all to help us out. Most of Europe views its military as an employment program, not national defense. I read recently that the French military is largely for show, save for a few parade and special operations units. For the most part, at least half of its armored vehicles and planes won't work because of lack of parts and maintenance. I seem to recall that after 9/11, the French could only put up 6 fighter planes to protect its entire airspace. Can't find that article now. AOL keeps losing bookmarks I set up. Really need to stop using this site for anything but email. Anyway, we are an empire that, like all empires, has stretched too far. We can't keep pushing unless we go over to a war economy and draft, which will require cutting social programs for one thing. Another point will be greatly restricting personal freedoms because the government will need to crush dissent against its wars, just like it did in the Civil War, WWI and to an extent WWII. Guest guest
Mmm... But you'll notice that the US stepping up the rhetoric against Iran and Korea at the same time it is declaring that the withdraw of troops from Iraq will occur as scheduled. Now where do you suppose those troops will go to? And why would the US leave a " small force " of 50,000 US troops in Iraq? Wait and watch.
