Sorry you feel that way Amy.I'm new too, and I admit, I'm not shy when it

comes to groups...I tend to jump right in. I'm sure no one intentionally

skipped over your post or ignored you. I know I sure didn't. I didn't even

see your post (just this one).

I hope you change your mind. This really is a wonderful group of people!

Amy,

I'm sorry that you felt that nobody welcomed you! I always thought

that we did a really good job of saying hi to the new folks and I

always attempt to answer any questions, especially from new people! I

can tell you that nobody intentionally skipped your message. The

people here are some of the most supportive people around. I wish

you the best and hope you stick around :)

No one intentionally has over looked you or anyone

I try to send a post to all the new people and the people who delurk, but

have not been good about that lately. I've let myself get a bit depressed

and have been moping around so I haven't been as positive. I do hope you

decide to stick around for awhile. I've made some great strides with mental

and physical growth and I owe a lot to the support of this list. I've always

exercised but I've never had the mental strength and inner peace that I do

with Tae-bo.

Amy,

I am very sorry you felt ignored. Did you ask a specific question

that was not answered? This is a very high volume list that

overwhelmes even me (the owner) at times. Add in the fact that we

have more than one Amy (which most people didn't know), half of the

posts don't end up in members mailboxes (thanks yahoo), and numerous

new member joining every week, it is hard to keep up with eveything

and everyone. We all do the best we can to make everyone feel

welcomed, but we are only human. Somtimes posts get over looked. This

is the kind of list where you have to jump in and make yourself heard

because there are so many people and some are easliy confused by who

is who. No one ignores anyone else on purpose. I hope you decide to

stay, but if you don't, good luck with your Tae-Bo journey.

Amy,

I'm sorry you feel so unwelcome. Not everybody answers my posts but

it's something you shouldn't take so personally. Sometimes a post

doesn't require an answer or a comment. One thing I *DID* find out

on the main Tae-Bo message board is that there are a lot of lurkers

that benefit from our posts that we have no way of knowing about.

Once in a while a lurker will post and tell us what an inspiration we

are to others without even knowing it. I hope you stay on with us.

Guys,

I got a notice this morning that Amy unsubscribed. If anyone wants to

send her a message, they will have to do it thru private email, as

she is no longer reading these messages. I always think it is sad to

lose a member, but after going back and reading posts, I don't

understand how she feels she was ignored. For the looks of it, her

posts WERE responded to. But, she did feel ignored, so it's

unfortunate. What some (not all!) " new " people don't understand is

that most of these close friendships on this list have taken a year

or more to develop. In " real " life, you don't form instant

friendships with people you just met. The same goes for here too. A

person can't expect to come in and be as close to certain people as

others are. Those kinds of friendships take time to form. I think

that everyone on this list is very welcoming to newbies. We never try

to leave anyone out. We want to get to know everyone and form those

close friendships that I was talking about. It just takes some time.

And the best way to get people to know you is to post. The

saying " the squeaky wheel gets the grease " applies to this list. The

more you talk, the more responses you will get and the more people

will get to know you. I have no idea where I am going with this, but

I wanted to say that I am very proud of this list and how warm, and

welcoming the people on it are. I'll get off my soap box now!

:)

List owner and proud of it!!!

As you should be. , your generosity and friendliness permeate

this list. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

responses she gets to her own posts

I know exactly where you're going with this and totally agree. How

does a person expect a response if they don't say anything? But I

don't think that was the case with Amy. I thought she fit in pretty

well. It's a shame she left.

You should be proud... This is the best Taebo group

around, trust me I've been to almost all. It's ashame

that Amy didn't stay around long enough to find that

out. One of the best friends I have(mich), I met

through Taebo. She may be in Australia, but I chat

with her more than I chat with most of my friends that

live around the corner. Plus I would not be doing as

well as I am with my workouts if it weren't for the

support and motivation that I get from all of you..

You are all the best!!!!!

I'm sorry Amy that you feel that way... As many have already said,

nobody meant to actually ignore you!!!

I have to admit though, that the volume of postings has been

increasing steadily in the last few months, and it is becoming harder

and harder to catch up. In my case, I can't catch up anymore, and I

rely on the subject line to figure out what I have to read or not...

I simply don't have time to read everything!!! With a full time job

(which is becoming more and more of a vocation), transit time, and a

baby... it seems the hours in a day are extremely scarce!!!

who hopes that Amy will give this group another chance and who also

suggests that people think of editing their subject lines (thank you

in advance)

Well, this is just my take on this.....I'm sorta a lurker....if I don't

post, well, then of course everyone won't notice me! But if you want to be

a part of something you must contribute something. I'm sorry to see Amy

leave too; I'm sure if she would've posted more, then she would've felt more

welcome.

Yep, call me L. This way things won't get confusing.

, Bev and I are are about to embark on yet another 21 DC. Seems

like I just finished my first for the year! I think we start on Wednesday,

right girls? Caroline - you in too? How about anyone else?

- Move to Wisconsin - I don't know of ANYWHERE that teaches Tae Bo!

I've heard of cardio kickboxing at the Karate studio, but that's it! Best

wishes for you - I'm sure something will come along. Everything is meant to

be!

Joan - Great job on the loss! Doesn't it feel great!? I lost 8.5 overall

inches and 6.5 lbs since the beginning of the year but the bet part is how I

feel! I am empowered!!!!!

Well, there I delurked and started babbling.......You'll get sick of me soon

enough!

I think this list is great too. I have felt very welcome here, as opposed

to some other lists I've been on. But I have really tried to post here when

I can, as opposed to the other times when I kinda lurked, and I think that

makes all the difference in the world.

Thanks! I think every now and then when I get down I just need a " swift kick

and stay sane at the same time <G>
