Hallo

Hier nun mal wieder kardiologische Fragen....

1. Ist " Remodeling " ein gebraeuchlicher Begriff auch im Deutschen? (es meint

myokardiale Umbau und Anpassungsvorgaenge im Laufe von chronischer

Herzinsuffizienz und nach Infarkten; nach Google finde ich auch im deutschen

viel haeufiger " remodeling " als " myokardialer Umbau " o. ae).

2. Ist SCD (Sudden Cardiac Death) die auch im Deutschen gebraeuchliche

Abkuerzuing fuer ploetzlichen Herztod? Oder gibt es eine deutsche Abkuerzung

die ich (noch) nicht kenne?

3. XY took a position as " associate consultant " in cardiology at the

department of.....

Consultant bezieht sich sonst auf Facharzt und associate mit Prof. meint im

deutschen den ausserordentlichen Professor, was aber meint der associate

consultant? meint associate vielleicht nur Mitarbeiter in diesem Sinne?

Bedeutungen fuer SCD genannt, z.B. subacute coronary disease. Im

Pschyrembel habe ich es auch nicht gefunden.

As my old book of " Patología General " says, " Propedeutica " means exploration

techniques (physical, instrumental and laboratorial) plus interpretation of

its findings (results, signs or symptoms).

If Propädeutik is Prop(a)edeutic(s), then preliminary instruction [Dorland]

or study [Webster].

NO Propaedeutik is used in GERMAN (and is the subject that teaches you to

examine and diagnose, it seems my other answer got lost?) so no translation

Einleitung is definitely not propaedeutik (sorry I can't make the German ae

in my e-mail programm)
