Guest guest
Does anyone know exactly what sort of fumigation process happens with these when they come into the country? I was under the impression from the Body Ecology people that they were sprayed with a fungicide and that it didn't go through the fibers in the shell. I talked to a coconut grower in Mexico today and was told that they soak the coconuts in a pesticide/fungicide solution that does makes it through the shell and into the coco water. He said when he tasted young coconuts here they're nothing like at home and thinks it's the chemicals you're tasting. Anyone have more info on this????
