** I once read that when lions and other carnivores for that matter

kill a prey, they eat the contents of the stomach and digestive

tract, which is mainly vegetables, maybe some starch. Dogs and cats

(I had both) don't need carbs, but they can all eat a little cooked

food (including carbs) and that is all right for them.
