, Calcium hydroxyapatite research is not my forte. To take it orally

sounds much like eating ground up teeth or bones.

Calcium cations must link up to fatty acids to be taken up through the walls of

the intestines, thus I don't imagine that the hydroxyapatite is all that useful.

I do know that vitamin K-3 (menadione) is useful in fighting/preventing

osteoporosis.

, I like your description of eating ground up teeth or bones. That is

actually something that is recommended for a healthy dog diet and now that I

think about it, I am not sure why it wouldn't benefit humans as well.

You refer to absorption and recommend Vit K-3 instead of Calcium Apatite for

Osteoporosis. Can you elaborate and this please? Is Vit K-3 different thatn

Vit K which is used for coagulation. When my dog accidentally ate some mouse

poison the vet gave her Vit K.

I look forward to your information. Thanks,

, Vitamin K3 is menadione, a semisynthetic. K1 and K2 are found

in bacteria and green leafy vegetables. K3 is useful against cancer--far

more so than K1 or K2.

Vitamin K can also be useful against cancer pain. Yugoslavian research in the

mid 50's showed it works as well as morphine for cancer patients 75% of the

time. I have routinely observed pain reduction with menadione.

Most physicians are afraid to use it in therapeutic dosages as part of

an oncology protocol as they fear undesired blood clotting. This fear is

unfounded. I often use dosages of over 100mg as the bisulfite which makes

it water soluble.

For osteoporosis you can do a google search of Vitamin K and osteoporosis. It

is often used with vitamin D and calcium.
