Kefir grains vs starter

Hi

Whats the difference between kefir grains and the freeze dried kefir

starter ? Can I use the bit of kefir from a batch made from the freeze

dried batch to make a new batch ?

If you are using the Body Ecology Kefir starter packs,

you should be able to get 7 rounds of kefir. But the

kefir starter packs die out after that, whereas the

kefir grains live on and on and on, you just have to

keep them alive by remaking kefir, Juli
