Guest guest
All, A week ago today, my two and a half year old daughter had to have surgery. It was unavoidable- she swallowed a coin, and it was stuck in her esophagus. She was put under general anesthesia, but was given no antibiotics or other medications. For the first time in her life, she has a white coating on her tounge, and her bowl movements have not been normal since then. Can anyone give me any guidance as to how to help fix these problems? Thanks, KerryAnn
Guest guest
Vitamin C is good for clearing the body of local anesthetics. vsp On 6/6/05, KerryAnn <krankedyann@...> wrote: > > All, > > A week ago today, my two and a half year old daughter had to have surgery. > It was unavoidable- she swallowed a coin, and it was stuck in her esophagus. > She was put under general anesthesia, but was given no antibiotics or other > medications. Guest guest
Hi, I am not an expert, but a white coating on the tongue is a clear sign of a yeast infection, usually candida. White tongue is also called " Thrush " . It is common. She either needs a medication from the doctor such as diflucan or flagyl (do they give that to kids?) or better, many people with autistic kids fight this infection often while chelating their children using natural products. You might want to stop in on that list and ask more specifically about yeasts and white-tongue from other parents. / On the autism treatment list I found that some parents use this product to treat yeasts and fungus in their kids: Virastop Here is a link - I have no connection to the manufacturer or the retailer - it's just a link to info on the product other parents recommend for similar to your daughter's problem. http://www.smartbomb.com/enzmed98140.html Depending on the formulation of any Vit C supplement, it could feed the yeast as do sugars and carbs. I have been suffering yeasts lately and they make me really crabby and irritable. She probably isn't a happy camper with it, either. Good luck, *S* > All, > > A week ago today, my two and a half year old daughter had to have surgery. It was unavoidable- she swallowed a coin, and it was stuck in her esophagus.
