Hi all,

I joined this list a few weeks ago and have been quietly learning much from

all of you----a big " thank you " !

As I read 's request about preparing rose hips my interest perked way

up and I wonder if any responses could also be posted onlist?

I had seen this topic mentioned about 6 months ago on another list; the

poster was concerned that if Codex was passed and the USA followed suit, we

would be unable to purchase Vit C, et al, in any kind of therapeutic

amounts. He wondered about growing rose hips as a source of C, just in case.

Unfortunately there was no follow up on that list, but the idea hasn't left

my mind.

I suspect that there is a recipe " somewhere " for making rosehip jam, but as

mentioned, that would involve heat and would probably destroy most or

all of the C.

I'm hoping some of you creative nutritional cooks might have an idea!

Sharon
