Thank you for sharing this Doug.

I found what Adam wrote to be very interesting. For instance:

" ...the pass ratios of students in their classes have actually gone

down significantly in several cases. "

So what??? Is it in our best interest as an industry to make sure

everyone passes?

It makes sense to me that the course providers would have access to

the relevant information so they can prepare their curriculums,

etc. It also makes sense to me that per the unification, there is

some handle kept on who these course providers are, so that Joe

Shmoe, XYZ is not teaching classes in his garage on Saturday

afternoons.

It does NOT make sense to me to supply this same information to

those who will be taking the test, minus recommended reading

material and resources. Giving people access to page numbers is no

different than giving away the answers. Geez, if that's going to be

the case, why even bother with a test at all and just sell certs in

a fancy frame like some of the other less than

credible " organizations " ???!!!

If this is just about money, (which it appears to be so at least to

me) I get it. BUT, if it is about raising the bar of our industry,

getting rid of negative stereotypes and making sure the certs we do

have remain credible - what is proposed is destined for failure on

many levels. C'mon - how many " certifications " do we need???!!! We

as an industry should be focusing our efforts on making what we have

better - not throwing more bones in the pot!

If you haven't yet done so, please go to the following website to
