Guest guest
REGARDING: " Because what is within this framework we are discussing is NOT valid science. " RESPONSE: Sharon, You've stated several times you are not a scientist and have recently (and once in the past) revealed you are a marketing person. But you still didn't answer my question: " If one only does marketing, how does one assess the validity of the science within this framework? " You only restated that in your opinion (as a non-scientist) that it isn't science, not how a non-science marketing person could assess the validity of the science. I will say that the science is fine (they've laid out their assumptions and limitations with the evidence and their methodology) but by no means perfect [i'll remind you that many policies are not based on sound and convincing science]. The a) policy and the presentation of that policy are poorly constructed. They do not clearly establish guidelines for diagnosis, care, or management, nor do they establish suggested direction in research to reduce errors, variability, and uncertainty in the current knowledge base. They do not clearly provide language in layman's terms. If I were constructing it, I would have had a policy paper in more layman's terms (not completely) and a longer technical support document. Tony Ps Don't give me the one rodent study bit again. Every limit comes down to one study that drives the final number or risk decision. In their case, they took the most conservative for the specific group of endpoints and used that. .......................................................................
