Guest guest
Hi, I read Price's book last year, and he makes it pretty clear that all tribes used shellfish as the #1 health food. He always said that the fat-soluble vitamins and minerals (mostly magnesium, according to his chemical analysis of native diets, which had up to 29 times the magnesium of the Standard American Diet, but only up to 9 times the calcium) were the most important factors. However, as I understand it, shellfish don't have as much of the fat-soluble vitamins. They have tremendous amounts of magnesium, calcium, and all trace minerals, however. Polar bear liver is deadly poisonous because of the high amounts of vitamin A. Vitamin D toxicity is well-known among people who supplement heavily. Price didn't seem to know much about trace minerals at the time. mike
