Hmmm...I think I saw Burger king and Hardees both offering what they call a low

carb burger wrap.... beef patty wrapped with lettuce. This is in Florida, and

many times they try marketing experiments in the state...

If you are in California, the In-n-Out burger joints

have an AWESOME burger with no bun. It's not

listed on the menu ... just order any hamburger

on the menu and say " protein style " . They have

specially cut leaves of lettuce, like 5 on each

side, and a special holder, and it's the juiciest

most wonderful burger I've ever had. Actually

it's how I used to eat burgers when I was a kid ...

I never liked the bun because they would get

mushy and fall apart (I hate mushy!).

Actually, peanut butter and jelly with some nice mild cheese rolled in

lettuce is quite yummy...

Hello , here is a special message from The Office of Blinding

Common Sense and Evidentially Compelled Behavior:

EAT THE LIVER AND EAT IT RAW

EAT THE LIVER AND EAT IT RAW

EAT THE LIVER AND EAT IT RAW

EAT THE LIVER AND EAT IT RAW

EAT THE LIVER AND EAT IT RAW

EAT THE LIVER AND EAT IT RAW

EAT THE LIVER AND EAT IT RAW

EAT THE LIVER AND EAT IT RAW

EAT THE LIVER AND EAT IT RAW

EAT THE LIVER AND EAT IT RAW

EAT THE LIVER AND EAT IT RAW

Nobody thinks it's delicious, but it's easy to find it " okay " to

" pleasant enough " . Take small pieces and let them linger on your

tongue for a while so you can become friendly with the unique sensory

experience. The only thing you have to fear is fear itself and also

maybe your gag reflex. A variety of foods with distinctive, powerful,

even mildly unpalatable flavors is a healthy approach to eating. A

bite here, a bite there. It all balances out and makes your senses

come alive. Think about those pungent Indian garlic pickles. A

little goes a long way. A thin, small slice of raw liver, then a

slice of fresh apple or pear, then a spoonful of coconut curry, then a

mouthful of greens and sprouts, then another thin, small slice of raw

liver, then a few sips of soup, then a few strands of sea veggies,

then a chunk of radish kimchi, then a chunk of sardines in a fragrant

sauce, and so on and on and on... Try to eat at least 15 or 20

different foods in every meal. Enjoy life, food is art.

Or, if you want a quick and dirty solution (an American thing?), just

mince the raw liver very finely, and toss it with a hearty salad of

mixed greens, other veggies, fruits, seeds, etc, just whatever you

have on hand, maybe a little ACV dribbled on top.... You know, a good

normal salad with a foundation of fresh greens, maybe some raw, some

cooked, a mix of things... The point is you will barely even notice

the liver or even not notice it at all! Personally I have no problem

just tossing a big chunk of raw liver in my touch by itself and

chewing for a bit--although after a few chunks it becomes unpalatable

and it's all about quantity and balance--but I often use this

mincing/salad method for convenience or if I'm not in the mood for

liver. Try serving a gourmet salad to a friend sometime with a little

raw liver buried in the mix without even mentioning anything about it,

and I bet they will never notice or question anything. And remember a

little liver goes a long way. If you're using it medicinally for

energy (like does), then by all means have a tiny portion

everyday! For me, I eat about 50g once or twice a week at most just

for the sake of dietary variety.

Also, remember that liver is a very common, ordinary food around the

world. You would be silly not to eat it if you have such a

frustrating physiological condition as you describe.

Ummm ... that reminds me of a dessert we used to get

a lot in Spain. It was this jelly that was made very stiff,

so it could be cut into sticks. You ate one stick next

to a stick of cheese, and just chewed them together.

Jelly and cheese work real well together. I can't see

how peanut butter would hurt!
