Guest guest
I guess I'm mostly addressing this to , since he seems to be the expert on Schulze's products, but if anyone else has any thoughts, please contribute. I've actually been gradually feeling slightly better throughout the day despite extreme exhaustion, and when the ginger so kindly sent me arrived this morning, my recovery even sped up a bit. Then FedEx delivered a bottle of Echinacea Plus a few minutes ago, and now I'm in a bit of a quandary. If I'm reading the label correctly, which it's possible I'm not since I'm so tired everything going through my head is probably 327% incoherent, the bottle is 45-55% grain alcohol, meaning that it contains about 1oz of pure 190 proof alcohol and is therefore up to 104.5 proof itself. That seems like a pretty serious amount of alcohol to consume for a sick person who hasn't had any kind of alcoholic drink beyond the odd sip of wine in months and whose stomach is on the empty side at the moment. (I apparently didn't eat enough for lunch, but I'm trying to stick it out for another hour or so before having a relatively massive dinner.) Not that I haven't been known to knock back a few single malts or a couple glasses of wine with dinner, but lately I've been focusing on weight loss and trying to make serious strides in improving my health, so I just haven't been drinking at all. In fact, I seem to be getting a bit of a buzz just from the maybe 12 droppers or so I've taken as of this paragraph, which amounts to, I don't know, maybe 1/5 of the bottle, so it seems possible that the whole thing, taken all at once as suggested, could pack quite a punch, at least to my weakened, hungry system. I also don't have a second bottle to follow it up with (a SECOND ounce of grain alcohol???) due to the pooch screw I made of the ordering process. Thinking this mold exposure fiasco wouldn't last and certainly wouldn't flower quite so obscenely, I ordered a few Schulze products, including two bottles of Echinacea Plus, earlier in the week to come by standard delivery, mostly in the way of a preventive for future problems. By the time I realized I was in big trouble and possibly sinking deeper, it had already shipped by slow boat from China and thus won't get here until Tuesday. So yesterday I ordered a third bottle of E+ to be overnighted, but I was reluctant to add a fourth and spend even more on something the effect of which on me was as yet completely unknown and untested. At this point, I'm thinking I'll keep shooting down six droppers of E+ at a time spaced pretty closely together until I get through half the bottle, and then I'll stretch out the second half, taking some every hour. I'll let you know how that goes, but if anyone can offer me a good reason why that's a bad idea, now's the time to speak up. Also, just as an amusing side note, the flavor and alcoholic aroma are quite intense, but the really strange thing is the way it lingers in the mouth after swallowed. I've been putting six droppers in a shot glass, topping it off with filtered water and then glugging it down, and by the time I'm done, there's an extremely sharp and aromatic residue that almost feels carbonated. Each salivation seems to liberate a lot of the tincture, as though some of it soaked into the tissues of my mouth, and it's actually even more noticeable when I chase it with plain water, which hits my tongue with a bitter, fizzy burst despite being pure and still. Finally, distilled water is actually listed before the grain alcohol on the panel, which sort of makes me question just how true Schulze's claims to be providing far more potent tinctures than anyone else is, but that's food for future research and discussion. -
