CoQ10 supplementation: a more affordable option

For those of you who are interested in supplementing with CoQ10

instead of just eating foods like liver and heart which are very high

in it, Beyond A Century has CoQ10 powder back in

stock.

It's $82.50 for 30g, which works out to $2.75/g, far better than

VitaSpace's $6000 for a kilo ($6/g) or the really ridiculous prices

you might pay in a vitamin store (Country Life's supplement works out

to $11.32/g, for example).

This is probably more interesting to someone who has a serious need

for CoQ10 but doesn't want to eat organ meats -- perhaps a friend or

family member -- but it's available if you want it, and since it

turns out that you can absorb the powdered form just fine as long as

it's taken along with dietary fat (i.e. eaten with a reasonable-fat

meal) there's no reason to waste money on more expensive supplements

if you're going to go that route.

FWIW,
