Guest guest
Hi everyone, It seems from the posts that a lot of you have older girls. I just want to know what my may be once she grows up based on her current level of functioning. I want to give you some background, so you can tell me if your daughters looked like her at this age or is she more severe? was diagnosed with ASD at 18 months. She will be 4 in August. She was born this way, no regression. She is a very happy child, smiley, sweet, good eye contact. She sleeps 12 hours a night and has since she was a baby. She is a great eater. She has great gross motor imitation, and she can imitate many simple sounds. However, she has very little functional language-maybe 5 inconsistent words. She still cannot identify Mommy and Daddy. Her receptive language has improved a lot in the past few months. She flaps at times, and has poor play skills. She is in a great ABA program, and we have started the biomed stuff over the past few months. Sorry, I don't mean to ramble, I would just love to have an idea of what we may face in the future. Will she ever talk and say " I love you, Mommy " ? Thanks in advance,
