Guest guest
p.s. i used to 'suffer' from sensitive teeth/gums and used to use that toothpaste that nums you while you brush. since i stopped brushing so often i don't anymore. i also use that Sonicare thing. i used to wonder if brushing twice a day actually did harm in that it wore away gradually some enamel to make the coating of your teeth thinner...and if it helped recede your gums in the process. i don't know. i'd be interested in what a holistic dentist has to say. if any conventional dentists are reading this, they're probably gnashing their teeth. laura --- In , Tom Jeanne <t.l.jeanne@g...> wrote: > First of all, tooth-brushing has *nothing* to do with tooth decay. As anecdotal evidence, I've been brushing my teeth just once a day, half-heartedly, for about five or six years and I have no cavities. I've been off of fluoride toothpaste for about three years. In Nutrition and Physical Degeneration, Price observed that the isolated Swiss, who did not brush their teeth but ate a very good diet, had a slimy film on their teeth but otherwise had excellent dental health. So I only brush my teeth for aesthetic/hygenic reasons.
