How many people in this group have read Weston Price's book?? I've just started

reading the the first few pages. It's very compelling, isn't it? One of the

things that has struck me so far is where he mentions " soil depletion " . As I

said a couple of days ago I came to this list after l reading the Jeavons

book which is, in part, about building up the soil in order to obtain bigger

yields. I am constantly amazed at how many things in my life are linked on some

level. I wonder where the Universe is leading me. It's been a fun ride over

the last year.

On another note I was talking to my husband about how I don't think I would be

able to raise and kill chickens let alone calves and said that I would much

rather not knowing where it came from. He disagreed saying that he'd rather

know how the animal was treated and what antibiotocs etc it wasn't treated with.

Which one of us is into all this diet? Obviously he's not as passive about it

as I thought.

Try a university library.

Or try inter-library loan.

If you only wish to read the book instead of buying it, download a zipped html

version from Project Gutenberg of Australia http://gutenberg.net.au.

Due to the fact that Price used Australian Aborigines in his studies, the book

is now Public Domain. Under Australian copyright law, literary, dramatic, and

musical work published, performed, communicated, or recorded and offered for

sale in an author's lifetime are, where the author died in or before 1954

protected for the life of the author plus fifty years from the end of the year

of the author's death. After this time they enter into the public domain in

Australia. I couldn't find a copy at Project Gutenberg in the United States.

It is still copyright there? I think you are supposed to respect your own

countries copyright laws?

At least one of the associated illustrations was mucked up, but the text

appears intact (so far).

Actually, that source restricts online access by persons living in

the U.S. because our laws don't make " Nutrition and Physical

Degeneration " public domain.
