What is the deal with the safety of cast iron cookware? Does iron leech into foods? What kind of foods are safe to cook in cast iron? Also, what about care and maintenance? How often do they have to be seasoned, and with what? The packaging says that these are " pre-seasoned " - I assume they would have used vegetable oil (yuck !).
